Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Non-Medical Caregiver to join our team at CareBuilders at Home – Carmel IN. As a cornerstone of our organization, our Non-Medical Caregivers play a vital role in providing non-medical care and support to our clients in their own homes. (7-9 hours a week)

About the Role

As a Non-Medical Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and transferring clients. You will also help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and personal care tasks. Your role will involve building strong relationships with our clients and their families, and providing emotional support and companionship.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care and support to clients in their homes, including assistance with daily living activities
• Help transfer client from Hoyer lift every morning
• Build strong relationships with clients and their families, and provide emotional support and companionship
• Document client care and communicate with the care team as needed
• Adapt to changing client needs and priorities
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with transfers
• Hoyer Lift certified
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care
