Overnight (Asleep) Compassionate Caregiver for Seniors

The position as a *Joyful Hearts Homecare* Caregiver entails working closely with members of the elderly community and their loved ones. The caregiver should be passionate about seniors, have a caring spirit, and be a reliable member of the team. The caregiver’s tasks will differ for each client, but the main goal is to fulfill the mission statement of *Joyful Hearts Homecare* in all interactions with clients and their families. We are located in Stillwater and have clients throughout the Twin Cities.

The client we are hiring for lives in Stillwater; it is a female client who is suffering with memory issues. Their goal is to stay in their apartment and have the highest quality of life possible. This is a short-term position for a few weeks, but will most likely turn into long term. The shifts we are hiring for are 10:00 pm - 7:00 am Friday through Sunday. We are hoping to hire someone who has experience with memory care, personal cares, nutrition support, and companionship.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Have a joyful and compassionate spirit anytime you are representing *Joyful Hearts Homecare.*
• Show clients and their families you are there to care for the client.
• Take extra time to ensure the client and their family that you genuinely care about their well-being.
• Respond quickly and professionally if the client or family contacts you. Provide timely updates to family members and to managers about the client's status, if requested.
• Be respectful, polite, and understanding when interacting with clients and their families.
• Reliability to build long lasting relationships with clients and their families.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Education

* High school or equivalent (Required)

* Senior care: 1 year (Preferred)
