Overnight Caregiver

Job Overview

As an Overnight Caregiver at the WELLSTONE HOUSE, you’ll provide compassionate support to our 15 residents throughout the night. You’ll be responsible for assisting with personal care, morning routines, meals, medications and light housekeeping .

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
• Monitor residents, observe changes, check vital signs when assigned, and report concerns to the Administrator
• Supervise medication administration only as authorized and within applicable procedures. (training provided)
• Provide patient care and direct support for older adults including those receiving dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory, or hospice care.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean.

Requirements

• Must by 18 years old and pass a criminal background check
• Experience in one or more relevant settings is helpful (but not required): group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, home health, home care, home and community care, or long-term care.
• Related experience (helpful but not required) in nursing, social work, geriatrics, senior care, or supporting people with neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus.

Expectations

• *OVERNIGHT IS OUR IMMEDIATE NEED; SHIFT RUNS 11P-9A; please do not apply at this time if you are not available these hours.*
• Evenings and some weekend shifts may be required.
• Flexibility is a plus.
• The right person would be honest, hardworking, punctual, and you must enjoy working with the elderly.
• A positive attitude is absolutely necessary with the ability to multitask, and triage the needs of the home is a priority.
• This is a rewarding position in a low-stress environment. Can be both fast paced but very relaxed.
• We are willing to train the right person. No experience is necessary but always a plus!

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
