Job Summary

As a PCA/CNA, you’ll provide attentive, respectful care that helps residents and clients maintain comfort, dignity, and daily routines. You’ll support people in settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, and home care, adapting your approach to individual care plans and needs. Your impact: Consistent observation and timely communication help residents, clients, and care teams respond to changing needs and support safer, more comfortable care.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, and patient transfers; use safe manual handling and a Hoyer lift when trained and appropriate.
• Monitor residents and clients, observe changes, take vital signs as assigned, and communicate updates to the care team.
• Support medication administration only as authorized, follow care plans, protect resident rights, and maintain Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy.
• Prepare meals, cook, assist with personal transportation, and keep care areas clean.
• Provide direct support and compassionate communication, including for people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and other disabilities.

Experience

• Patient care, caregiving, nursing, senior care, geriatrics, memory care, dementia care, hospice care, home health, home and community care, or long-term care experience is valuable.
• Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home care is welcome, as is experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Knowledge of patient observation and monitoring, patient transfer methods, heavy lifting, first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is helpful.
• Relevant experience with medication administration, meal preparation, cleaning, and client communication is preferred.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 per week
