Duties

The CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) provides daily care and support to medically fragile children in a PPEC center under the supervision of licensed nurses. The role focuses on ensuring patient safety, comfort, developmental support, and assistance with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist children with:
• Transportation, drop off and pick up
• Feeding and hydration
• Diapering and toileting
• Bathing and hygiene
• Mobility and transfers
• Dressing and grooming
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nurses
• Take and record vital signs
• Maintain clean and safe patient environments
• Support therapy and recreational activities
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Assist with transportation or classroom activities if required
• Communicate professionally with parents and healthcare staff

Requirements

• Active Florida CNA license or HHA certificate
• CPR/BLS certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Level 2 background screening
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Compassionate and patient attitude
• Ability to lift and transfer patients safely
