Personal Care Aide - Easley, SC (7 AM TO 7PM) - Monday through Friday and weekend shift

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor and document patient observations, vital signs, and behavioral changes to ensure timely communication with healthcare professionals.
• Support medication administration and adherence to care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and assist with meal consumption to promote health and well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities, ensuring client safety at all times.
• Support residents or patients with cognitive conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and engagement activities.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, therapists, and family members to deliver comprehensive home health or long-term care services tailored to individual needs.

Skills

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable.
• Strong patient observation skills coupled with the ability to monitor vital signs accurately.
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support.
• Proficiency in manual handling techniques including heavy lifting and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts.
• Familiarity with medication administration procedures and basic first aid/CPR certification.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care activities.
• Ability to follow detailed care plans while respecting residents' rights and promoting independence.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous.
