Personal Care Aide

Job Overview

No daily needs, job requires little effort. Serving food that is prepared beforehand and assisting with bathroom needs. Client is patient, kind and gentle and well mannered, comfortable work environment.

Duties

• Assist with feeding when required, ensuring safety and proper nutrition.
• Maintain cleanliness of residents’ living areas, common spaces, and medical equipment to promote hygiene and prevent infections.
• Support residents with medication reminders and assist with medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
• Document care provided, update care plans regularly, and ensure compliance with all safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans.

Experience

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer’s disease, or other forms of dementia.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration procedures, and vital signs monitoring is essential.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, care planning processes
