Job Overview

As a Personal Care Aide/Home Health Aide, you’ll help clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence through attentive care at home. Your impact: By supporting daily needs and observing changes in condition, you help clients and their families navigate care with greater confidence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, transfers, and mobility; use a Hoyer lift when appropriate and follow safe patient transfer methods.
• Support meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and laundry; provide companionship and clear client communication.
• Observe and report changes, take vital signs as assigned, and complete medical documentation and records using electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Follow care plans, home health care regulations, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements, and confidentiality practices. Provide medication administration or catheter care only as authorized and within applicable requirements.
• Offer respectful support in senior care, geriatrics, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice, and end-of-life settings, including for people with disabilities or developmental disabilities.

Experience

• Patient care, caregiving, home health care assistance, or home care experience is relevant. Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, home and community care, home health agencies, or live-in roles is helpful.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, patient observation, and medical records is preferred.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including basic life support (BLS), are useful qualifications.
• Must be able to perform essential care duties, including patient transfers and lifting, in accordance with safe practices.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
