Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / In-Home Caregiver

We are looking for a kind, compassionate, and dependable caregiver to join our daughter's care team!

Our daughter is a sweet 19-year-old young woman with Rett syndrome and complex medical needs. She has a wonderful personality and brings so much joy to those around her. We are looking for someone who will not only provide excellent care but also become a trusted and valued part of her daily life.

This position is in our family home, where you will work alongside a supportive family to help ensure her comfort, safety, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily personal cares, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and wheelchair mobility.
• Administer medications and G-tube feedings as trained and authorized.
• Assist with respiratory treatments and medical equipment as trained.
• Monitor for seizures and respond according to her care plan.
• Provide companionship, interaction, and meaningful activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Communicate with family members regarding her care and well-being.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Comfortable working with someone with significant physical and medical needs.
• Willingness to learn specialized caregiving skills.
• Ability to follow detailed care instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous caregiving, PCA, CNA, or medical experience is helpful but not required.
• Training will be provided.

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
