Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure residents' health status is maintained
  • Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and documentation procedures
  • Provide compassionate Alzheimer's and dementia care, implementing memory care strategies to enhance residents' comfort and safety
  • Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility needs
  • Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas to promote a hygienic environment
  • Engage residents in social activities and group programs to foster community involvement and mental stimulation

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of ADLs assistance, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in medication administration is a plus
