We're looking for a compassionate, dependable male caregiver to provide daily hands-on support to our father in his home. This isn't a supervisory role — it's direct, personal care. You'll be the person he sees every day, helping him stay comfortable, safe, and engaged. If you bring patience, warmth, and take pride in doing the small things right, we'd love to meet you.

About the Role

You'll provide one-on-one care for an elderly gentleman in his home, assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, meals, medication routines, and light housekeeping. You'll also be his companion — someone who keeps him active, comfortable, and connected throughout the day. Communication with the family happens daily through Slack, and you'll document care notes each shift.

Schedule & Pay

• Pay: $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience
• 12-hour shifts (day and/or night shifts available)
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend coverage
• Contract position — 1099 private care

Daily Care Responsibilities

• Assist with morning routine: bathing/bed bath, dressing, compression socks, and skin checks (report any rashes or sores)
• Monitor and document vitals — blood pressure, temperature, and blood sugar (photo and share before meals)
• Help with safe transfers and mobility using a gait belt; walk together every 4 hours (1–2 laps, ~15 minutes)
• Prepare and serve meals per the dietary plan, including thickened liquids and Glucerna supplementation
• Use swallow cues during meals: gently touch cheek/throat and prompt swallowing as needed
• Change and check on client every 3 hours; assist with toileting while seated
• Keep feet elevated with a cushion and periodically lower legs for circulation
• Administer medications on schedule and allow short naps afterward; maintain 35–40° elevation
