PRN Caregiver / Companion (Non-Medical Home Support)

North Star Home Support

is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional caregivers to join our growing team. We provide high-quality, non-medical home support services that help seniors, adults with disabilities, individuals with special needs, and recovery clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

This is a PRN (as-needed) position. Caregivers will be scheduled based on client needs and their availability. As our client base continues to grow, opportunities for regular part-time and full-time assignments may become available.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement
• Prepare meals and light snacks
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Assist with grocery shopping and errands
• Provide transportation to appointments and community outings (when assigned)
• Provide medication and appointment reminders
• Maintain accurate visit documentation
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and the office team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months of caregiving experience preferred (paid or equivalent experience considered)
• Experience supporting seniors, adults with disabilities, or individuals with special needs
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience is a plus
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
• Smartphone for scheduling and communication
• Must be dependable, compassionate, and professional

Schedule

• PRN (As Needed)
• Client visits have a minimum of 4 hours per shift
• Typical shifts may be 4, 6, 8, or 12 hours, depending on the client's care plan
• Weekend and holiday availability is a plus
