Guiding Light Dementia Care

is seeking compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our PRN (as-needed) care team.

This position is ideal for caregivers looking for flexible hours while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals living with dementia.

As a PRN caregiver, you'll help provide coverage for:

• Staff call-outs
• Vacations and planned time off
• New client starts
• Additional shifts as our agency grows
• Temporary schedule changes

Because our clients deserve consistency, we thoughtfully match caregivers based on personality, care needs, experience, and availability—not simply the next open shift.

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate, person-centered dementia care in clients' homes.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, feeding, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Monitor client well-being and report changes to the care team.
• Complete accurate documentation using our electronic charting system.
• Communicate professionally with families and the Guiding Light Dementia Care team.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina CNA certification in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
• Current TB screening (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality, person-centered dementia care.
• Flexibility to accept PRN (as-needed) shifts based on client and agency needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
