Resident Assistant/Nursing Assistant - Assisted Living

Paid training provided to become a Registered Nursing Assistant.

Pay Range: Union position, $19.45 - $25.19 per hour. Starting pay is based on experience. Double time or time and a half for working holidays.

Schedule: Evening shift, combination of 2:00pm - 10:30pm and 4:00pm - 9:00pm including every other weekend. Total of 6 shifts (45 hours) every two weeks with the option to pick up additional shifts.

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality care and services to residents to support the choices of residents, while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices.

• Provide medical and physical care to residents to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level based upon resident preferences, regulations and established best practices. Help each resident achieve “their best day”. Demonstrate flexibility to adjust priorities in response to resident needs.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting.
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning and walking.
• Obtain vital signs accurately and report changes in resident health status.
