Resident Care Associate (RCA) / Caregiver – Freedom Village Holland

$14.50–$15.00/hr (base rate)

Sign‑On Bonus

$2,000 PT / $3,500 FT

About the Role

* Assist licensed nursing staff with activities of daily living * Support residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility * Provide routine care to promote independence and dignity * Serve as a stepping‑stone to becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) * Freedom Village pays for CNA classes + state testing through MTEC * Guaranteed promotion and pay increase once certified

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, positioning, and exercising * Perform basic treatments, tests, and procedures as instructed * Record observations and care provided * Transfer, transport, and escort residents * Answer call lights promptly * Change linens, make beds, and maintain clean resident rooms * Maintain safe and sanitary work areas * Encourage independence and participation in activities * Attend in‑service training and education sessions * Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Prior geriatric experience preferred * Ability to understand and follow instructions in English * Strong communication skills * Ability to document care accurately * Ability to perform simple arithmetic
