Team Lead Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor caregiving staff, providing guidance on best practices for assisted living, memory care, and dementia care.
• Coordinate daily schedules, assignments, and workflows to ensure comprehensive coverage for residents’ needs.
• Assist with residents’ activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Monitor residents’ vital signs and health status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals.
• Assist with self administration of medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication assistance accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Support residents with personal care in a safe, respectful manner while maintaining their dignity and independence.
• Lead efforts in behavior management, social engagement, and activity planning tailored to individual preferences and needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping duties like resident laundry and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments.
• Strong background in caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or geriatrics.
• Knowledge of medication assistance procedures and vital signs monitoring.
