Aide to Residents - HHA (CNA, not required)

Overview

As an Aide to Residents, you’ll provide attentive, respectful support that helps residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence. You’ll assist with daily routines, personal care, meals, and safe movement while communicating changes or concerns to the appropriate care team. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential is preferred, but is not required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support meals, activities, cleaning, and other tasks that help maintain a safe, comfortable living environment.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition; take vital signs and document care in electronic medical record (EMR) systems as assigned.
• Follow residents’ rights, privacy, care plans, and safe manual handling and patient-lifting practices; assist with medication administration only as authorized.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and care team members, including when supporting memory care or responding to behavioral needs.

Skills

• Need a strong sense of empathy, kindness, and patience with elderly residents.
• Experience with time management and an ever-changing shift of responsibilities.
• Familiarity with first aid and CPR, behavior management, client communication, vital signs, and EMR systems is helpful.
• Reliable attendance, as our residents depend on you!
• Able to assist with heavy lifting and resident mobility using safe practices with lifts.
• CNA certification is not required. First aid, CPR, medication administration, and other duties must follow applicable authorization and workplace requirements.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
