Assisted Living Caregiver

Job Overview

As an Assisted Living Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, hands-on support that helps residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence. You’ll assist with daily routines, communicate changes in residents’ needs, and help create a safe, welcoming living environment. This role may involve standing, manual handling, and heavy lifting while following safe patient lifting practices.

Duties

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support medication administration and monitor vital signs as assigned; promptly report changes or concerns.
• Provide compassionate senior care, including dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory care, while using appropriate behavior management approaches.
• Keep resident areas clean, follow first aid and CPR procedures when needed, and uphold each resident’s rights.

Skills

• Caregiving, assisted living, geriatrics, and senior care experience are relevant; nursing home, long-term care, home care, home and community care, residential care home, personal care home, retirement home, or group home experience is also valued.
• Experience assisting individuals with developmental, cognitive, or other disabilities, including direct support, is beneficial.
• Knowledge of assisting with ADLs, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, vital signs, medication administration, client communication, cleaning, and meal preparation is useful.
• First aid and CPR knowledge, safe patient lifting practices, manual handling, and ability to operate a standard passenger car are valued.
• Heavy lifting may be required; follow safe handling procedures and resident-centered care practices.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
