Caregiver for Assisted Living ASAP

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
• Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
• Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies
• Utilize manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Engage residents in social activities and group programs to promote mental stimulation and socialization
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
• Strong understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care practices
• Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid/CPR certification
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
• Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and resident records management
