Duties

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and assistive devices like Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
• Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and phlebotomy when trained and authorized.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop personalized care plans for patients across various units including ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, or behavioral health.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in compliance with hospital standards.

Skills

• Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care environments.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
