Responsibilities

  • Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
  • Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health and safety
  • Support individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
  • Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards by performing light housekeeping tasks and sanitation routines
  • Implement care plans designed by healthcare professionals and document care activities and communicate updates to healthcare teams effectively
  • Support residents’ emotional well-being through active engagement, companionship, and social activities

Qualifications

  • Prior experience 3+ years in assisted living, nursing homes, home/community care or group homes is highly preferred.
  • CNA or HHA training and/or certification is highly valued
  • Knowledge of ADLs assistance, medication administration, memory care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques
