Caregiver (PCW)

Overview

As a Caregiver (PCW), you’ll provide respectful, person-centered support that helps clients and residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence. You’ll assist with daily routines, follow care plans, and communicate changes in a person’s condition. Your impact: Attentive care and timely updates help clients feel supported and help care teams respond to changing needs.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, transfers, and personal transportation.
• Observe and monitor clients, record vital signs as assigned, and report changes to the appropriate care team.
• Support medication administration only as authorized and follow care plans, privacy practices, and residents’ rights.
• Prepare meals, cook, and clean living areas while respecting each person’s preferences and routines.
• Provide direct support in home, community, group home, assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or long-term care settings.

Qualifications

• Required: Compassionate communication, reliability, and the ability to follow care instructions and protect confidential information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Preferred experience: Caregiving, patient care, home health, home care, senior care, geriatrics, nursing, memory care, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, and working with people with autism, disabilities, intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, or other neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Helpful skills and experience: Patient observation and monitoring, care plans, medication administration, meal preparation, cleaning, and home and community care.
• Preferred safety knowledge: First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), manual handling, heavy lifting, patient transfer methods, and Hoyer lift use.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
