Caregiver

At Peace of Mind Homes, we provide compassionate support to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, helping them live meaningful and independent lives. We’re seeking caring, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our growing team as Respite, Habilitation, and Attendant Care Providers.

Key Responsibilities

Respite Care

• Provide short-term relief to primary caregivers.
• Engage clients in safe, enjoyable, and age-appropriate activities at home or in the community.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.

Habilitation Services

• Support clients in developing essential life skills such as communication, social interaction, and daily living tasks.
• Help clients work toward and achieve personal goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
• Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence.

Attendant Care

• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and feeding as needed.
• Support mobility and provide assistance with transfers.
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (or willingness to obtain).
• CPR, First Aid, and Article 9 certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Patience, compassion, and a commitment to helping others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental or physical disabilities.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
