Duties

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
  • Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, utilizing specialized techniques for safety and comfort
  • Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling equipment to ensure safe transfers
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
  • Engage residents in social activities, group exercises, or recreational programs to promote mental and emotional well-being

Skills

  • Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
  • Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, geriatrics, and developmental disabilities care practices
  • Skilled in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks with proper technique
  • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documentation purposes
