At Serenity Care at Home, we believe every client deserves to age with dignity, independence, and compassion in the comfort of their own home. We are seeking dependable, caring, and professional Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our growing team serving Danbury and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
• Bathing and personal hygiene
• Dressing and grooming
• Toileting and incontinence care
• Mobility assistance and safe transfers
• Ambulation and fall prevention
• Prepare light meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and organization.
• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Offer medication reminders (no medication administration).
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Observe and report changes in the client’s condition to the office.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow the client’s individualized care plan.
• Promote client safety, comfort, dignity, and independence at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional caregiving, PCA, HHA, CNA, or related experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (preferred for transportation cases).
• Ability to pass criminal background screening and employment verification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and punctual.
• Experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s care, transfers, gait belts, or hospice is a plus.
