Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant – Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide personalized support that helps individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. This role includes assisting with daily living activities, personal care, health support, companionship, and creating a safe, respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other daily care needs
• Support medication administration and maintain accurate care documentation
• Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and promote proper hydration
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities
• Support individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities and manage behaviors professionally
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Provide transportation for appointments and community activities when needed
• Follow safety procedures, including CPR/first aid protocols

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience preferred (home care, assisted living, group homes, or similar settings)
• Ability to document care using electronic records systems
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record preferred
• CPR, first aid, and medication training preferred or required
• Must have or be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card
