Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in a home based setting. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, ensure their safety, and promote their overall well-being. Your compassionate approach and attention to detail will help create a nurturing environment where clients feel valued and cared for.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor clients health by checking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting concerns promptly.
• Support medication administration and ensure patient privacy and safety.
• Assist in preparing nutritious meals as needed and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods, to ensure safety during mobility assistance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and observations
• Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment that respects residents' rights and dignity.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care
• Ability to perform patient monitoring, observe for changes in condition, and respond appropriately with first aid or CPR when needed.
• Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, HIPAA compliance, and resident’s rights is essential.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and other team members.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
