Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant

Primary Purpose

Provide our residents with basic patient care, and activities of daily living while protecting the resident’s dignity, comfort, mobility, personal appearance, and safety. Ensuring safety and happiness.

Major Responsibilities

· Assist residents with activities of daily living including, but not limited to: cares, showers, dressing, undressing, feeding, walking, exercise, communication, leisure, and all other assigned duties related to the care of the resident in a respectful and caring manner. · Assist in the preparation, serving, feeding, and cleaning up of meals and snacks. Need not or plan meals. · Document and report all accidents, incidents, and errors to proper management in a timely manner. · Reports to lead staff and follow lead staff delegations. · Perform delegated facility cleaning duties as well as all other duties on assignment sheets. · Ensures resident safety, including keeping resident call light in reach of resident at all times and answering call lights promptly, use of gait belt, ensuring a clutter-free environment, and wheelchair/walker positioning. · Assist with taking resident vitals, if needed. · Protects self by using proper body mechanics and knowing own limits. · Enrich resident’s quality of life through providing meaningful activities on a daily basis whether in a group or 1:1 format. · Perform resident light housekeeping duties, including changing of resident linens and laundry. · Opportunity to pass medications available.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required

· Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license encouraged but not required. we have the ability to help you attain a CNA license in exchange for 3-years of employment!
