Job Description

Serenity Care at Home LLC is hiring an experienced Portuguese-speaking caregiver for a permanent assignment in New Milford, Connecticut!

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or caregiver who is fluent in Portuguese and has hands-on experience using a Hoyer lift.

This is a consistent, ongoing assignment with shifts available seven days a week. We welcome qualified caregivers who can work multiple days per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Safely assist with transfers using a Hoyer lift.
• Provide mobility assistance and fall prevention support.
• Assist with toileting and incontinence care.
• Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance when needed.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Follow individualized care plans and document completed services.
• Communicate changes in the client’s condition to the office.

Requirements

MUST HAVE

• Ability to communicate effectively in Portuguese.
• Previous hands-on Hoyer lift experience (REQUIRED).
• Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred.
• Experience assisting clients with limited mobility.
• Reliable transportation to New Milford, CT.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Dependability, professionalism, and compassion.

CNA certification is preferred but not required.

Consistent scheduling opportunities are available. Applicants do not need to be available all seven days.
