Caregiver

#### Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the client's condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization tasks.
• Support clients in mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts, Sera steady, transfer poles, and other supportive devices when necessary.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, and/or developmental disabilities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies.

#### Skills

• First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience in group homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable.
• Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in behavior or health status.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
• Experience with simple meal prep and dietary restrictions is a plus.
• Knowledge of care plans and safety protocols is essential.
• Compassionate approach towards caregiving with a focus on patientcentered care.
• Experience working with individuals with complex health/care needs, extensive transfer assistance, elderly, dementia, and/or developmental disabilities is advantageous.
