Overview

TLC Home Care is seeking a caregiver to support clients on Anchorage’s South Side. You will provide respectful, person-centered assistance in home and community settings, helping clients maintain comfort, dignity, and daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, meal preparation, and light cleaning.
• Support older adults and people with developmental, cognitive, or other disabilities, including clients receiving dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory, or geriatric care.
• Follow care plans for medication administration and vital signs, when assigned and authorized.
• Provide direct support, communicate with clients, and assist with driving when needed and authorized.

Skills

• Caregiving experience is essential; relevant backgrounds may include home care, home and community care, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, residential or personal care homes, group homes, retirement homes, and senior care.
• Experience with ADLs, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, behavior management, social work, or supporting people with disabilities is valuable.
• First aid and CPR knowledge is preferred; medication administration experience is an asset.
• Able to perform manual handling and heavy lifting safely
• Able to communicate respectfully, prepare meals, clean, and operate a standard passenger car when driving is required.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
