Caregiver/Universal Worker

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care, home health, or assisted living environments, and possess a strong understanding of the unique needs of clients with disabilities or seniors. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage various tasks while ensuring the comfort and well-being of those they assist.

Duties

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
• Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs.
• Prepare meals and assist with dietary requirements as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Support clients in engaging in social activities and maintaining their independence.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care, home health, or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of working with people with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and first aid procedures.
• Certification in home care or senior care is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate client schedules.
