Certified Caregiver

Job Overview

As a Certified Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, attentive support that helps residents and clients maintain comfort, safety, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and daily routines, medication administration.
• Provide senior care, geriatric, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory care.
• Monitor and report vital signs and changes in condition; administer medication only as authorized and within applicable requirements.
• Use safe manual handling and patient-lifting practices, respect residents’ rights, and apply appropriate behavior-management approaches.
• Maintain clean care areas, communicate clearly with clients and care teams, and follow first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures when needed.

Requirements

• Caregiving experience in relevant settings is valuable. A certified caregiver certificate is necessary for this position!!
• Experience with ADLs, senior care, geriatrics, memory care, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of vital signs, medication administration, client communication, cleaning, meal preparation, and behavior management is an asset.
• Current first aid and CPR qualifications are preferred; follow applicable requirements for the role and location.
