Certified Dementia Caregiver

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Dementia Caregiver to provide exceptional support and personalized care to individuals living with dementia and other cognitive impairments. Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality personal care including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor residents’ vital signs regularly and accurately document health status using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Administer medications safely following prescribed instructions and maintain detailed medication administration records.
• Implement behavior management strategies tailored to residents with dementia or developmental disabilities to promote calmness and cooperation.
• Support residents’ nutritional needs by preparing meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences while encouraging independence in meal choices.
• Engage residents through social activities, conversation, and recreational programs designed for memory care and senior engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and shared spaces.
• Operate group home or assisted living equipment including Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids safely.
