Overview

As a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), you’ll provide attentive home health care assistance tailored to each client’s needs. Your impact: By observing changes and communicating them promptly, you help clients and their care teams respond to needs and support safer, more comfortable care at home.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, transfers, and mobility; use a Hoyer lift when appropriate and follow safe patient transfer methods.
• Support meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and laundry while respecting each client’s preferences and independence.
• Observe clients, take vital signs as assigned, and document care in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Provide medication assistance only within your authorized scope; follow care plans, home health regulations, and privacy requirements, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
• Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and care teams; support dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, hospice, and end-of-life needs as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current CHHA certification and ability to provide first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); basic life support (BLS) is a plus.
• Patient care, caregiving, client communication, medical documentation, medical records, and confidentiality skills.
• Experience in home care, home health agencies, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, senior care, geriatrics, or home and community care is helpful.
• Experience with developmental disabilities or other disabilities, geriatric patients, catheter care, and live-in employment is a plus.
• Able to meet role-related physical demands, including heavy lifting when required.

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
