Nursing Assistant Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our school health team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to students in various settings. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Provide support in to students needs.
• Assist nursing staff in performing medical procedures
• Help lift and transfer patients safely to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare school team members regarding patient status and care plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in patient care is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical-surgical practices is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to lift patients and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and practices related to health services.
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a relevant training program is required.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.97 per hour
