Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) – Montana State Hospital

Job Summary

We are hiring experienced Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) for a 13-week contract at Montana State Hospital. The CNA will provide direct patient care, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support a safe therapeutic environment. Adult psychiatric experience, strong de-escalation skills, and flexible shift availability are preferred.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active Montana CNA certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare or group home experience.
• Experience working in adult psychiatric facilities.
• Strong de-escalation and communication skills.
• Current BLS certification.
• CPI certification (preferred, if already obtained).
• Valid driver's license.

Contract Details

• Location: Montana State Hospital
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: August 10, 2026
• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• Shift: Open availability preferred
• Pay: $30 to $35/hour
