Key Responsibilities

Personal Care & Daily Living Assistance

• Assist with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and dressing
• Support toileting needs and incontinence care
• Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning (including use of assistive devices)

Health Monitoring & Support

• Observe and report changes in physical or mental condition to supervisor
• Assist with medication reminders (no administration unless certified and permitted)
• Take and record basic vital signs if required

Household Support

• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying living areas)
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions
• Assist with grocery shopping and errands when needed

Companionship

• Provide conversation, emotional support, and engagement
• Encourage participation in activities and hobbies
• Accompany clients to appointments if required

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Driver's License
• Reliable Car and Car Insurance
• Physical (done within 6 months prior to registration) stating "free of communicable diseases"
• Level 2 Background Screening (Live Scan Fingerprinting) https://info.flclearinghouse.com
• Proof of Citizenship or legal status
• Social Security Card
• HHA Certificate/CNA License
• Valid CPR card from American Heart Association-Red Cross or Health & Safety Institute
• 4 CEUs: HIV, OSHA, Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication/Medical Errors, Alzheimer’s.
• Professional Liability Insurance (Covering $1million/$6Million)
• At least 2-3 years of work experience in home care required
