Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you’ll provide attentive, hands-on support that helps patients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence. You’ll assist with daily care, observe changes in condition, and share timely updates with the nursing team. Your impact: By delivering safe, respectful care and communicating changes promptly, you help patients and families feel supported and help clinical teams respond to care needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, mobility, and other activities of daily living across care settings.
• Measure and record vital signs; support catheter care, patient transfers, and medication administration as permitted by role and applicable requirements.
• Use safe lifting practices and equipment such as a Hoyer lift; follow infection prevention and aseptic technique procedures.
• Document care in medical records and electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems while protecting patient confidentiality and following HIPAA requirements.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and care teams, including when supporting people with dementia, developmental disabilities, or other care needs.

Experience

• Required: Current CNA certification and ability to perform essential patient care duties, including manual handling and safe transfers.
• Preferred: Experience in senior care, geriatrics, nursing homes, long-term or post-acute care, assisted living, home care, hospice, memory care, or Alzheimer’s care.
• Additional experience in hospitals, acute or critical care, medical-surgical units, emergency medicine, pediatrics, clinics, or outpatient settings is valued.
• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, medical terminology, documentation, phlebotomy, CPR, or basic life support (BLS) is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
