Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation
• Assist with feeding and hydration as needed
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs
• Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nurse
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Document care provided according to facility policies
• Promote resident rights, dignity, and confidentiality
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary team
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications

• Current South Carolina CNA Certification in good standing
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Compassionate, patient-centered attitude
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Long-term care experience is preferred but not required
