Job Description

Clemson Downs is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct resident care in our long-term care community. CNAs play a vital role in supporting residents’ daily needs while promoting dignity, comfort, and quality of life in accordance with established care plans and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Assist residents with meals and hydration, including feeding when necessary.
  • Observe, document, and promptly report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
  • Take and record vital signs as assigned.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Support residents’ rights, privacy, and dignity at all times.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with licensed nurses and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and state regulations.

Qualifications

  • South Carolina certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, transferring, and prolonged standing.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-centered approach.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work assigned shifts.

Brand new CNAs start at $16.25 per hour. Pay is based on experience.
