Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately, ensuring timely communication of any changes to nursing staff.
  • Support patients with medication reminders and basic medical procedures under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
  • Maintain detailed medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensuring patient safety at all times.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care environments to deliver comprehensive patient service.

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state requirements.
  • Prior experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly preferred.
