Our Care Unit (Med Surg/Observation/Progressive Care floors) population are patients with complex acute conditions. This includes orthopedic surgical patients (inc. total joint replacements) and general surgical patients. We also care for patients who present with arrhythmias, chest pain, and/or have had a myocardial infarction. This lends to a great learning environment to help lay a strong foundation for a career in healthcare!

As a Certified Patient Care Assistant in this unit, your approach to patient care delivery will be reflective of a pod-based model. RN's, LPN's, and PCA's work collaboratively and proactively to ensure coordinated care, whereby patients’ needs are anticipated and their expectations are exceeded.

Schedule: Full-time (36 hours/week), Day shift, 6:00am-6:30pm

Weekend rotations are required in this role. Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential when applicable.
