Schedule

Schedules are based on client needs and employee availability. Opportunities may include: * Day shifts * Evening/second shifts * Night shifts * Weekend shifts * On-call opportunities

Travel

Within approximately a 60-mile radius.

Responsibilities

Caregivers provide compassionate assistance to clients in their homes and communities. Duties may include: * Providing personal care and hygiene assistance * Assisting with activities of daily living * Helping clients with transfers, mobility, and ambulation * Preparing meals * Completing light housekeeping and laundry * Offering companionship and respite care * Providing transportation and assisting with shopping and errands * Giving medication reminders * Observing and reporting changes in a client’s condition or any unusual incidents * Responding appropriately in emergencies * Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED * CNA certification or current CNA candidate * Previous personal care, home care, hospital, nursing home, or direct-care experience preferred * Compassionate and dependable approach to client care * Ability to read, write, and follow directions * Strong communication skills * Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license * CPR and First Aid certification is a plus * Successful completion of a required criminal history check
