Overview

Under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse, the nursing assistant performs various duties in the care and treatment of patients in accordance with established methods and procedures of the Medical Center.

Responsibilities: * Provides direct care to patients in accordance with their individualized care plans * Assists patient with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, dressing, grooming, and toileting * Assist in transportation and transfer of patients, ensuring comfort and safety during movement * Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other patient data, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to nursing team * Accuchecks completed as directed * Accurate and prompt documentation * Assist with patient hygiene and comfort measures, including turning and repositioning patients to prevent pressure ulcers * Support patients with feeding and hydration needs, adhering to dietary restrictions and assisting with mealtime activities.
