Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour | Mileage Reimbursement: $0.76 per mile

Family’s Safe Haven Companion Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and caring individuals to join our growing team! We provide non-medical companion care to seniors and individuals who need a helping hand, companionship, and support with everyday activities.

We are looking for responsible individuals who genuinely enjoy helping others and making a difference in someone’s day.

Position Details

• Starting rate of $18.00 per hour
• 90-day introductory period with an opportunity for a pay increase upon successful completion
• Contractor-to-hire arrangement, with transition to company payroll (W-2 employment) after successful completion of the 90-day introductory period
• Flexible scheduling based on client needs and caregiver availability
• Primarily serving Manahawkin, Barnegat, Toms River, Little Egg Harbor and surrounding Ocean County communities

Mileage & Travel Reimbursement

We value our caregivers’ time and recognize the costs associated with traveling between clients.

• $0.76 per mile for approved client-related errands and doctor appointments
• $0.76 per mile for travel between back-to-back client assignments

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly companionship and conversation
• Accompany clients to appointments and outings
• Assist with errands and shopping
• Provide reminders and general day-to-day support
• Offer light household assistance related to the client’s everyday needs
• Help clients maintain independence and quality of life

Ideal Candidate

• Dependable, punctual, and compassionate
• Enjoys working with seniors and building meaningful relationships
• Has reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Comfortable traveling throughout Ocean County
• Previous caregiving or companion care experience is a plus
