Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homecare Aide (CNA preferred) to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in a the home. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly with senior care and individuals with disabilities. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents through personalized care and support. This job is for Wilson, Wayne, and surrounding counties.

Duties

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Assist with mobility and transfers of residents as needed, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Support residents with dementia care by engaging them in activities that promote cognitive function.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required by facility policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a CNA, HHA, PCA , particularly in senior care or home care settings.
• Understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities and experience working with them is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with residents, families, and staff members.
• Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and perform tasks that require lifting or moving patients safely.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the facility.
• Excellent attendance
• Ability to commute to additional counties if needed
