Daytime Caregiver

Overview

Need:

Male caregivers for day shifts 2-3x per week from 7 am-4 pm (8hrs) at a male client's private residence in the Wheaton/Winfield area

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), which may include dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, some lifting assistance, and ambulation (wheelchair/walker).
• Monitor clients’ health by observing vital signs, patient condition, and behavioral changes; report these findings to your supervisor.
• Maintain the cleanliness of clients’ living areas by performing light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders only.
• Provide adequate personal care, prevent falls and injuries, maintain skin integrity, and provide friendly assurance.
• Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Fill out and submit the appropriate forms/records needed to keep track of your clients' care and progress in a timely manner.
• Provide updates with the supervisor regarding the client's care.

Requirements

• Valid form of identification (state ID/driver's license, passport, etc.)
• Experience within the field is preferred
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or dementia/Alzheimer’s care are a plus
• Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport with residents and team members

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
