Kailua, HI, USPosted 17 days ago

Job Description

Daytime Caregiver / Nurse Aide / CNA

Kailua & Kāneʻohe | $24/hour

Bring your training and dependable daytime availability to one-to-one home care. Kai Home Care is hiring caregivers to support clients in Kailua and Kāneʻohe with respectful, non-medical care in their homes.

CONSISTENT DAYTIME AVAILABILITY IS A HIRING PRIORITY

We strongly prefer applicants offering 25–40 hours of recurring weekly availability across multiple weekdays, particularly between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tell us the exact days and time blocks you can reliably work. Broad, consistent blocks make it easier to match you with clients and build recurring assignments.

Applicants with fewer available hours may also be considered when their schedules fit client needs. Please list only availability you can consistently maintain. This daytime opening requires recurring daytime availability; evening-only or overnight-only applicants should use our general caregiver posting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in or graduated from a state-approved Nurse Aide training course, active CNA certification, or a higher nursing credential such as LPN or RN. Nurse Aide students are welcome. Training and credentials will be reviewed before client assignments.
  • Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and following each client's service plan.
  • Dependable attendance, clear communication, and a reliable way to reach accepted client assignments.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Complete required onboarding, background/fingerprint and TB clearances before client work.

Previous paid caregiving experience is helpful, but not required. Students and new graduates are welcome.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and transfers as directed by the service plan. Provide companionship, meal preparation and light household support. Observe and report changes, communicate with the Kai team, and complete visit documentation. This is a non-medical caregiver role.

WHY KAI

  • $24 per hour.
  • One-to-one care: focus on one client at a time.
  • Paid orientation and training.
  • Health coverage available to eligible employees.
  • A responsive local team.
