Job Description

Christina's Compassionate Care LLC is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dependable caregiver for an upcoming private-duty home care opportunity in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

This position involves providing individualized care and companionship to an older adult with Parkinson's-related dementia in the comfort of her home.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with older adults, understands the importance of patience and consistency, and can provide safe, attentive, and respectful care.

Flexible scheduling is available!

Shifts are primarily Friday through Sunday evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, supervision, and emotional reassurance
• Assist with ambulation, mobility, and fall prevention
• Participate in two-person transfers and mobility assistance as appropriate
• Assist with toileting, hygiene, and other activities of daily living
• Provide medication reminders within the permitted scope of the role
• Prepare light meals and assist with meals as needed
• Perform light housekeeping and occasional laundry
• Engage the client in meaningful activities and conversation
• Communicate observations and concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with family members and other caregivers to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Previous professional caregiving experience required
• Experience with dementia and/or Parkinson's disease strongly preferred
• CNA certification preferred but not required
• Experience with mobility assistance, transfers, and fall prevention
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication skills
• Patience, professionalism, and dependability
• Ability to complete applicable background checks and onboarding requirements

Additional Information

The client has significant mobility limitations and requires additional assistance for safe care. Another caregiver or family member is expected to be present during scheduled shifts.

Applicants must be comfortable working collaboratively and assisting with physically demanding care tasks within their training and capabilities.
